A disease caused by viruses is called Warts. Warts can grow on your skin, on your genitals, inside of your mouth and your rectal area. Warts can be passed from one person to another person.
Warts can be passed by using towels and other objects of person who has warts. It is a contagious disease and can be passed to another person during vaginal or anal sex.
This disease can grow inside the vagina in women. Some warts will go away and some won’t go away on their own.
It may take long time to go away. Treatment may decrease the chance that the warts will be spread to other areas.The following are some ways to remove the warts:-
1.Applying salicylic acid
You can treat by putting salicyclic acid on the warts. you should take a bath and pat your skin dry with a towel. After put salicylic acid on your warts, now this acids works good. Use an emery board or pumice stone to remove the dead surface of the warts before you take a bath the next day.
2. Applying cantharidin
Doctor paints the cantharidin on to the wart. You feel some pain for some hours. A bandage is put over the wart after treatment with cantharidin. This can be removed next day, but the bandage is removed after two or three hours, when mixtures of cantharidin and other chemicals are used. This is the best treatment for remove the wart.
3. Duct tape treatment
Duct tape treatment irritates the wart. You should cover the wart with duct tape for a week. After the remove the tape, soak the wart in water and rub it with pumice stone. Leave the tape off overnight and repeat it. If wart does not go away this treatment after 2-3 months, then see your doctor to try another approach.
4. Applying liquid nitrogen
Liquid nitrogen freeze the wart. Applying liquid nitrogen to the wart. This treatment is also known as cryotherapy. This treatment may be needed every 1 to 4 weeks, if there is no improvement, then ask your doctor about another treatment.
5. Other treatments for warts
Other treatment like as burning the wart, removing the wart with a laser and cutting out the wart. These treatments are stronger so ask your doctor about benefits and risks.
Genital warts:
Genital warts are moist, soft and appear in the genital area after infection. In women, genital warts appear inside of the vagina and anus but in men, genital warts can appear on the penis or scrotum. Genital warts are very contagious disease. They are transmitted by skin-to-skin contact. Genital warts also can develop in throat or mouth. You should be examined and treated if you have genital warts.
How are genital area treated?
The following ways treat genital area:
1. Chemical treatment:
Genital warts may be treated with chemicals like: trichloroacetic acid or podophyllin. Apply these chemical on the genital warts. This treatment repeated again and again until the warts are gone away.
2. Applying LEEP:
LEEP means loop electrosurgical excision procedure. You should remove genital warts with this method. The doctor passes a sharp instrument underneath the wart and cutting the wart.
3. Interferon injections:
The doctor may use interferon injections into the warts. It may help your body’s immune system fight the virus that is causing the wart. This injections is use twice a week until the warts are gone.
