While designing a tattoo there is always a symbol is added in its design.

Only because of the symbol, we are able to identify that particular tattoo from other tattoos.

We are able to categorize it only by knowing the meanings of a symbol.

In every culture, there are a lot of symbols which has a great significance in their history. There are also a lot of religious symbols are available.

Egyptian Themed Tattoo Symbol

These are some religious and cultural symbols of Egyptians. These all symbols have different and great significance for the people of Egypt. This symbol which is at very first is the symbol of Ra. Ra is the Sun God of the people of Egypt.

This symbol is also famous as Scarab, Khepera or Khephera.  The second symbol that is of Lotus flower, is supposed to be very sacred in many religions. This Lotus flower is believed to be very lucky symbol for Buddha’s.

Lotus is considered as a mark of purity of the spirit. For the people of Egypt, Lotus is related to the Sun. As the Sun rises in the morning and sets in the evening, in the same manner lotus bloomed by day, and at night it is closed.

Hindu, Sikh, Jain, and other Eastern Tattoo Symbol

There are various symbols are shown. Each symbol has its own history and importance. The very first symbol is popular as Phurba. People also call it as Phurbha, Phurpa or Kila.

Phurba is a unique triple sided Tibetan rite stake. It used to represent strength and areas of protected space. The second symbol is knows as Kalachakra, a compound Buddhist emblem.

These seven words of the Kalachakra Mantra “Ham Ksha Ma La Va Ra Ya”are represented by this great symbol. There is a moon ant the nada, added with these seven words that complete its name.

The third holy Hindu symbol “Om” derives from a Sanskrit word. Om means a supernatural power that creates this earth. This symbol is also known as “Omkar”. This “Om” is composed of four parts that are State, Sleep, Dream State and the fourth is Absolute Conscience. The next symbol is known as “Trisula”, it means “trident”.

It is the three pronged ceremonial weapon of the Hindu God “Shiva”.  Three powers are represented by the three prongs of the “Trisula”, that are Will, Action and the third one is Wisdom.
