Relax and take deep breath before you have your evening meals, hearing to your favorite CD or DVD. You can also do a favor for your digestive system by eating your meals slowly and gracefully.
Have some water before you take your meals:
try avoiding or skipping carbonated beverages, since water would help you fill your belly, restricting your desire to eat. Moreover ice cold water can also boost your metabolism a bit.
Don’t multitask yourself:
always make it a point to restrict yourself doing any other activity, when you eat. Make sure you don’t read any magazines, articles or television while you eat since you tend to pay more attention to them instead of your food and you tend to over eat. Moreover you would always form a habit to eat something or the other while watching the television.
Wait After you Dine:
make sure you sit on your table saying you’re after meal graces or petting your dog, since it would signal that you are absolutely done eating. Sitting at the table would tempt you to pick and eat up leftovers.
Try using a smaller plate
when eating since they would reduce your food content and automatically allow you to slim down. This is because a large plate would come with larger food quantity, while a smaller plate would come with smaller quantity. This would be the best way to reduce your weight without any efforts.
Salads and Soups:
relish and enjoy a small bowl of salad or soup before you start having your meals, this is in case you feel very hungry. A bowl of soup won’t be of much harm provided that it does not contain high calories.
