The Quick 15 Minute Yoga Meditation Techniques


With more and more people reaping benefits from Yoga, it is now growing as one of the most popular forms of exercise. Perhaps the best thing in Yoga is that it not only benefits the physical body but also helps decrease stress and achieve peace of mind.

  • Start with Pranayama. Sit with your legs crossed and close your eyes. Press one side of your nose with your thumb finger and breathe in. Shift thumb to the other side of the nose and breathe out. Do a set of 5 .

  • Now, stretch your legs. Take support of hands by placing them on the ground. Bend your right knee .Now, hold your right toe with your left hand and turn your head in the opposite direction. Breathe in and out. Feel the stretch. Do a set of 3 on both sides.

  • Sleep on your back. Your legs and hands should be intact. Lift both your legs to a 30 degree angle, count 5. From thereon, lift a little above to a 60 degree angle, count till 5. Then lift both your legs to a 90 degree angle. Follow this in succession while breathing in and out. Do a set of 3 at least.

  • Stand straight. Stretch both your hands upwards while lifting your toes ( ballet style). Feel the stretch. Then bend downwards while trying to touch both hands to your toes. You cannot bend your knees. You can only bend your back. Stand straight again. Do a set of 3.

  • Stand Straight. Spread your legs. Lift your hands upwards and join them together (in a Namaste) Now turn your upper body and left leg to the left side . Now bend the left leg and look upwards and stretch your hands and upper body. Breathe in and out. Feel the stretch. Do a set of 3 on both the sides.

  • Stand straight with your hands close to your knees. Bend your upper body to almost a 90 degree on the left while maintaining the same simple posture. Breathe in and out. Do a set of 3 on both the sides.

  • End this session with Pranayama again.
