Nutritional Supplements

This can be an interesting subject. There are many people who do not believe in taking nutritional supplements. There are also many people who believe that nutritional supplements are extremely necessary to having and maintaining optimal health.

In the mean time, here’s my opinion.

I’m a health nut. (except for the occasional chocolate frenzy) I believe in treating my body with wholesome foods, organic whenever possible. I drink 80 ounces of filtered water every day. I exercise for at least 1 hour a day. I believe that I am the healthy person I am because I do all this PLUS, I supplement. Here’s what I take on a daily baiss.

1. a multivitamin and multimineral

2. calcium with vitamin D

3. a probiotic for colon health

4. an anti-oxidant

I happen to get mine pre-packaged so all I have to do is open one packet per day and take them. Very convenient and I don’t have to wonder if I’m taking the right stuff for my needs. This one is based on a womans needs and takes care of all of them in one convenient packet per day.

To Supplement or Not to Supplement

SO, as you can see, I believe STRONGLY in taking a series of supplements, based on my needs. There is no way I can eat healthy enough to get all the nutrients I need. The reason? Our soils are completely depleted of most essential nutrients. The ground is SO over planted and under replenished that the quality of our food, even the organic stuff, is so low that, in order to get the nutrients your body needs, you would have to consume more than 20 salads per day.

On top of the list I mentioned earlier, I also take a product called “Complete Greens”. This is like having 5 salads per pill. Getting enough greens is critical to having a healthy body.
